Projects

700t Furnace Installation – BP VDU-2 Project

This project was submitted for an engineering excellence award in Perth. It involved the design of a skidding system to install the 700t fired heater within a 28-day shutdown window. The skidding system traversed a pipe track containing the main refinery cooling water pipes. Failure of these pipes would have shut down the entire refinery. The entire skidding process took 2 days, and the shutdown window was met with 2 days to spare and no lost time injuries.

Caltex Refinery – Modular Piperacks

This unit was designed with modular construction techniques, thereby nearly eliminating work at height, with the obvious safety gains and also mitigating IR risk. Additionally, cost and schedule gains were made.

  • • Piperack modules were approximately 7m x 24m x 5m
  • • 100m of piperack installed in approximately 2 weeks

Boulder Creek Wind Farm

EIE has been providing civil and structural engineering services for a 228 MW wind farm comprising 38 turbines, located in regional Queensland.

Our involvement spans multiple substations and switching stations across the site, where we’ve provided tailored engineering solutions to address complex topography and various planning and environmental overlays.
